Dr. Zachary Thammavongsy (He/Him/His)

Child of Refugees - First-Generation College Graduate

I am a Laotian American chemist interested in chemical education and inorganic chemistry. I earned my Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California, Irvine in 2019. I received my Master's and Bachelor of Science from Western Washington University. I am currently a Visiting Instructor of Chemistry at Chapman University where I teach general, organic, and inorganic chemistry and conduct chemical educational research. I am seeking a tenure track position where I am able to teach, mentor, and cultivate young chemistry learners both in and outside of the classroom.
